LG S95AR Review

When it comes to enhancing your home audio experience, the LG S95AR soundbar stands out as a top contender. Perfect for families who love movie nights or simply enjoy good music, this soundbar offers a rich sound profile that many reviewers describe as immersive. With Dolby Atmos support and a powerful wireless subwoofer, it brings your favorite films and shows to life, making every viewing experience feel special.

One of the great things about the LG S95AR is its sleek design, which allows it to fit under most televisions without taking up too much space. However, some users note that it can be on the larger side, so be sure to measure your setup before purchasing. Families with kids will appreciate the solid build quality, which feels durable and long-lasting, able to withstand the occasional bump.

Setting up the soundbar is generally straightforward, though a few reviewers mention that it can be a bit complex at first. Once set up, the wireless connectivity with devices is seamless, allowing you to enjoy music or movies without the hassle of tangled wires. The AI Room Correction feature is a nice touch, adjusting the sound to suit your room's layout, ensuring that you get the best possible audio experience.

While the price tag might be higher than some budget options, many users feel that the sound quality justifies the investment. It's an excellent choice for families looking for a soundbar that enhances not just movies, but also games and music listening. On the downside, the absence of HDMI 2.1 bandwidth might be a consideration for those looking to future-proof their home theater setup.

In summary, the LG S95AR is a fantastic soundbar for families who want to elevate their viewing experience. With its rich sound and solid build, it's designed to withstand the demands of everyday life while providing exceptional audio quality. If you’re willing to invest a bit more for a premium experience, this soundbar is worth considering.

Overview

The LG S95AR soundbar is positioned as a premium audio solution, boasting a 9.1.5 channel configuration and support for Dolby Atmos. This model aims to deliver a rich and immersive sound experience, particularly for movie lovers. However, with a retail price around $1,100 and some limitations, it faces stiff competition in the market.

Sound Quality

The standout feature of the S95AR is undoubtedly its sound quality. Reviewers consistently praise its ability to deliver clear dialogue and powerful bass, making it ideal for both cinematic experiences and gaming. The soundstage is expansive, providing an authentic surround sound experience that models the audio fidelity found in high-end home theater setups. However, while the sound quality impresses, it's important to note that some competitors may offer similar performance at a lower price.

Comfort & Fit

In terms of design, the S95AR is relatively large, measuring 48 inches in width. This size may not be suitable for all setups, especially smaller living spaces. Furthermore, users have reported a somewhat complex initial setup, which could be a deterrent for those looking for a more straightforward installation process.

Connectivity and Features

The LG S95AR includes a wireless subwoofer, enhancing its bass response and providing a clean look without messy cables. However, it lacks HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, which limits its capability to handle high framerate video passthrough, an important consideration for gamers and home theater enthusiasts. Additionally, while features like AI Room Correction are beneficial, the absence of a graphic EQ may disappoint users wanting to fine-tune their audio experience.

Conclusion

Overall, the LG S95AR is a solid soundbar that excels in sound quality and build, making it a compelling choice for specific use cases. However, its high price, lack of HDMI 2.1 support, and complex setup process may lead some buyers to consider alternative options that offer better overall value. In a competitive market, the S95AR needs to demonstrate a more compelling reason for its premium price tag.
